Healthy Eating


Healthy eating does not have to be boring! I love to add things to my cabbage dish to make it interesting and colorful. You can also use herbs and spices to change it up. Check out this recipe from my upcoming cookbook. Enjoy!

Latrell's Stir Fried and Steamed Cabbage w/Veggies

Serves 6

1 head of chopped cabbage

1 cup of sliced peel and sliced carrots

1 cup of broccoli

1 small onion chopped

½ cup small bell pepper diced

½ tsp dried basil

1/2 cup of chopped green onions

½ tsp red pepper

6 tsp olive oil divided

1/4 cup water

Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions

1. In a large large skillet heat three teaspoons of oil.

2. Add onions and bell peppers.

3. Saute for 2 minutes..stirring frequently. Remove from skillet.

4. Add cabbage, carrots and remaining oil. Stir until fully coated.

5. Cover Cook for three minutes. Add water. Then add the remaining ingredients

including, onions, bell peppers, salt and black pepper.

6. Cook until all vegetables are tender. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
